Background:
U-HOUSE LLC is an architectural firm in Naha. In 1997, the founder Gen Endo began his architectural career in Tokyo and established his firm in 2001. The firm moved to Naha to more closely work with the construction company Taira Kensetsu in Okinawa.
Philosophy:
Gen Endo is the grandson of Arata Endo, the prime assistant of Frank Lloyd Wright while he worked in Japan. Arata Endo enthusiastically embraced Wright's design philosophy of "Organic Architecture" where the building harmonizes with both the natural and cultural environment. In the footsteps of his grandfather and Frank Lloyd Wright, Gen Endo also practices the the design philosophy of “Organic Architecture.”
